"wake up like an emperor"

A multidisciplinary studio where art, movement, design, and way of life come together.

Founded by Rune Bo and Keely Jakobsen, a Danish - British creative partnership, the studio has evolved from its roots in Art & Arkitektur into a broader exploration of how we live—through body, space, and connection to the natural world.

With an established studio in Malta and an atelier in the making in Denmark, their work moves between landscapes, drawing inspiration from both Mediterranean light and Nordic nature.

Together, they embody a modern Renaissance approach, weaving environmental awareness, animal welfare, and a deep sensitivity to form into everything they create. Their work spans Skulptur, Arkitektur, Interior Design, and Public Artworks, alongside a growing focus on movement practices including Pilates and Equestrian training.

At JAKOBSEN Artful Living, Creativity is not confined to objects or spaces—it is a Way of Living.

From Bespoke Design and Commissioned Works to Curated Experiences and Movement, each offering reflects a commitment to harmony, intention, and the art of everyday life.

We invite you to explore a world where design, wellbeing, and artistic expression exist as one.

RUNE BO JAKOBSEN
PERIT, ARKITEKT MAA (Cand Arch)

Rune Bo Jakobsen is a Danish–Maltese artist and warranted architect whose work spans both the built environment and the expressive language of art.

Since 2000, he has played a key role in shaping urban landscapes across Malta, contributing to landmark architectural projects, green harbour regeneration initiatives, and the sensitive restoration of historic townhouses. His architectural approach is grounded in a deep respect for context, materiality, and the evolving relationship between people and place.

Alongside his architectural practice, Rune is an established exhibiting artist, known for his distinctive ‘reactive impressionist’ style. His vibrant streetscapes, portraits, and sculptural works have been presented in numerous solo exhibitions since 2013 and are held in private collections internationally.

His public artworks include notable landmark sculptures such as Olive Twist in Żejtun and the bronze Embryonic Horse, inaugurated in Floriana in 2024—further reflecting his ability to move seamlessly between disciplines, scale, and mediums.

KEELY JAKOBSEN
B.Arts(Hons), Dip Interior Design, MUA
Certified Pilates Instructor & Dressage Trainer

Keely Jakobsen is a British artist, interior designer, and movement practitioner working at the intersection of body, form, and space.

A certified Pilates instructor & Dressage trainer, her work is rooted in alignment—exploring strength, balance, and awareness through both classical Pilates and Equestrian-based practice. Shaped by a lifelong connection to horses, her approach reflects a deep understanding of movement as both discipline and art.

Alongside her movement practice, she creates handcrafted equine keramik sculptures, embodying her enduring dialogue with the horse. Her work extends into interior design and spatial curation, informed by over a decade of experience in project management and architectural valuation.

Through Jakobsen Artful Living, her practice forms part of a broader philosophy—where movement, design, and artistic expression are approached as a way of living.
